Went here for the first time. It is a big place with lots of TV's. I had the combo meal with Perch and Rib Tips. I liked the perch, very light and nice flavor. Rib tips were good as well. My partner had the Chicken Salad which was kind of basic but good. Service was very good. We ate here kind of early on a Thursday night and they were not that busy. I would say that this place is good but really nothing special that makes it stand out from all the other bar style food places around. Prices are not bad and with a coupon it really is pretty good. I would go back again.

Happy' s and I have a strange relationship. I'm a fan of the five dollar burgers when they are actually cooked to your liking ( which happens once in a while). The service is pretty terrible, almost every waitress and bartender seems uninterested that you're there. That being said I do like their "happy sauce" which is sort of like a spicy mayo but thinner. They need to work on their consistency and service.

2nd visit updated review. Beer is cold and cheep. Service sucks. I watched a man come in beg for money and drink a beer that someone left on a table. Tried to get a manager but appears this place does not have one. I came back to try the pizza as the wings were not to my liking. Nether was the pizza. This will be my last visit. To bad lots it has allot of TVs and great space but it has no class

I must say, I did like the atmosphere here. Several TV's to watch games on. Though, half way through our visit they turned the game audio on and cranked it way up making it difficult to carry on a conversation. The food was okay here as well - expensive, but good. I had the Michigan Cherry Salad and my wife had the BBQ Pit Burger. The salad was okay, but their raspberry vinaigrette was VERY sweet - not good at all. The burger unfortunately didn't have much flavor. We also ordered a plate of Happy Wings to share with the Honey BBQ sauce. Those were actually not too bad. $8.99 for 8 wings is a tad steep though. Make sure if you order an item from the lunch menu you say from the lunch menu. I ordered a salad because any salad is supposed to be $5.99 during their lunch hours, but I was charged full price. I asked the waitress and she said I had to say I wanted the lunch special and I would have to pay the full price. It was only a dollar more, but still.. The beer was cold -- almost too cold. It came out with a lot of ice chunks in it. Once those melted, the beer was watered down. Luckily it was part of their $2 pint special. The service here wasn't very good either. The waitress never refilled our drinks and only came over to drop off food.

Upon first appearance the place is clean and well layed out. Plenty of new TVs to watch any game you wish. My wife and our two boys (1 1/2, 1month) came up for the first time ever going to a Happy's Pub on a Sunday. Mainly because "kids eat free" on Sundays, as advertised in a menu that was mailed to us. After placing our order of a medium deep dish pizza and a pound of Happy Wings we asked what on the children's menu was considered free. The waitress advised that we must purchase an entree in order to get the free kids meal. So for a $12 entree you get a free kids meal, but for $20 pizza and wings, no deal. Sorry but that's bad marketing and I felt like I was slapped in the face. After a 25 minute wait, our 2 items arrived. The wings were mostly breading and if I weren't the person who ordered the sauces, I would never had guessed what they were. However, the pizza was excellent. Lots of cheese, a unique sauce, and good bread. It's all you can ask for. The beer selection was excellent, and I'll be going back to try more of their bottled imports. One thing that is a little frustrating, is that our 1 1/2 year old was starting to get restless, and we needed to get out of there. A waitress (not our waitress) dropped the check off. We instantly put a card in the bill and put it at the end of the table. We then sat there for 10 minutes (feels like eternity with upset child) with a manager walking past us more than twice without cashing us out. I know this is kind of picky, but it's my reality, I don't want to sit in there with a screaming child and neither do your guests. (I would have taken him outside, but it was freezing) I'll be back for the beer and pizza, but if I want wings, you can find me at the B-Dubs down Orchard Lake.

I've showed up here a few times since my initial experiences and I can not say it's improved. I will only sit at the bar, because that's the only way you are going to get served. In the 6-8 times I've sat down at a table, service meant having to go get a wait person when you needed something, at least twice. I like the bar though because the beer is cold and they have a great selection. Had a hard time getting the bartenders attention because she was busy playing on her phone or flirting with the only other person at the bar. What kind of a restaurant would allow wait staff to play on their phone while working? Pretty unprofessional and disrespectful. Food is usually pretty good if you can get them to bring it to you.

I experienced the worst service of my life at this establishment. Congrats Happy's! We waited over half an hour for ONE BEER and members of our party waited 90 minutes for a cheese pizza. It was horrendous. For our troubles we were all given a $3 off coupon for our next visit, which will never be happening.

i used to get happy's pizza all the time when it was just a take-out pizza place. and i really liked their pizza! especially because they had that awesome tuesday deal where you get two large pizzas for ten bucks (and later twelve, but still totally worth it). the crust is chewy and the toppings and cheese are generous. since they turned it into a pub, i bought the groupon and came here with my little brother and his friend. we got a sampler app platter, wings, and a pizza. the wings weren't too bad and the sampler app was pretty standard bar food. the pizza was still really good! but i hate that it's not as good of a deal as it used to be. but they so still seem to have good deals for each day of the week. for instance, mondays are half off appetizers, which can be a substantial saving. being here was rough because there were so many tvs. i get that they need those because it's a sports pub, but there were only two or three channels showing on like twenty tvs. many of them right next to each other! annoying, but okay i guess. service was really good and our waitress was really nice, she checked on us and apologized for food taking a long time. i can't imagine another scenario in which i'd dine in here, but i wouldn't mind it terrible if i did.

Take a little carry-out pizza spot, and sprinkle it with some Rapidgrow. Then water daily for a few weeks, and - BINGO - you've got a full-fledged Sports Bar with more TV's than you can count, cute and friendly waitresses, and of all things -- really good pub food! Happy's Pizza Pub, on the corner of 14 Mile and Orchard Lake Road has undergone a marvelous transformation that has put it high on my list of fun places to eat, see and be seen, and watch all kinds of sports on TV. In fact, there are so many TV's hanging on the walls that even a fly with a hundred eyes would be hard pressed to take them all in! My group consisted of 9 college fraternity brothers, all now way long out of college, who meet once a month to try out new restaurants. No one in the group was even slightly disappointed in the food! We shared pizzas, and a couple of us had burgers. Personally, I opted for a really good size (regular) personal Grand Traverse salad that was fresh, tasty and more than enough to take home some when I was finished there. They also feature ribs, chicken wings and tenders, Jumbo Shrimp and more. The prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is great for a guys', gals' or even date night out. I highly recommend it for a casual and inexpensive place to hang out, have fun and people watch!

I have never had worse service in my life. My fiancé and 8 of our friends came to Happy's to watch the red wings game. We ordered food and drinks. The first offense was when our waitress neglected our table for 20-30 minutes at a time and forgot to put in my dinner. Finally in frustration we decided to give up on our waitress ( after 45 minutes) and go to the bar. We ordered and the bartender gave us the wrong bill, with additional drinks, and a $2 surcharge FOR ICE. When we tried to get the right bill the bartender sassed us. Then we talked to the manager and waited 20 minutes for him to still screw up. The wait staff and management is so disfunctional that it makes it impossible to have a good experience. I would not recommend this location to anyone as this is not an isolated experience with this kind of service at Happy's.

I have been to this place twice now. The first time, had a beer, some wings and a couple glasses of water. Around 4AM I had intense intestinal distress. The second time, I had decided I was not eating anything and was just meeting somebody to have a quick conversation so I ordered an Iced Tea, refilled once, and that was it. Around 6AM I had a more mild but still beleaguering bout of intestinal distress. There is something not getting cleaned properly in this place and my bet is its the ice machine or the detergent they are using on the glasses is not getting rinsed off well enough. I am definitely not interested in revisiting this place. My idea of a good time is not hours of cramps and frequent visits to the toilet and that is exactly what I have gotten from this place on the only two occasions I have been there.

I was very surprised by the new Happy's Pizza bar. I've been to the previous standard Happy's location before its pub remodeling and I was never impressed by the cheap cafeteria-like food. But this brand new Happy's is quite the nice place. It has a massive beer list with many local and a few international beers, all on draft. Plus many more bottled. The restaurant is covered with HDTV screens and projectors with some facing the outdoor porch. The food was very solid and much better than the typical Happy's Pizza fare too. Color me happy. It's certainly the best bar in the immediate West Bloomfield/Farmington Hills area to watch a game.

A friend and I went to this Happy's last Tuesday. The waitress came to our table pretty quickly, but it was downhill from there. We both ordered a beer to start, and after 20 minutes the waitress (who I swear looked either high or drunk or both, eyes red and drooping/slurring her words/standing with a strange lean), came back and asked us what we wanted to drink because she forgot. We told her, and did not receive our beers for another 10 minutes. Then, we both ordered the five dollar build your own burger, I added bacon to mine since you can add that to the five dollar deal for an extra 99 cents. She then proceeded to try to convince me to just order the actual bacon cheeseburger meal with fries for 10.99, even though the deal of the day was five dollars to build your own burger and fries were only about 2 dollars, which would have been cheaper. I told her to please charge me for the deal of the day. I asked for white onion instead of red onion, which she forgot about when the food came out. She forgot to bring my friend's fries. The food took around 20-40 minutes to come, even though we were one of her only 2 tables. After the food we both ordered drinks. I ordered the key lime martini and then the cosmopolitan which said it was made with top shelf liquors like Ciroc, but I quickly realized that the liquor used was extremely cheap, it went down very harsh, definitely was NOT ciroc. Also I was burping cheap vodka, a sure sign that the liquor was definitely not ciroc or any other nice type of liquor like the menu claims it to be. Also, there were ice cubes in my martini... which is just extremely strange. At the end of it, she brought our separate bills out completely wrong. We both had the same things and my bill was $22 while my friend's was $13. I had her combine the bills and I just paid for it, and did not leave a tip. When I checked my credit card later that night, she had overcharged me by about 75 cents. I was extremely confused by this. Anyways, this location is extremely shady and the service was absolutely terrible. The waitress was very unprofessional, she even dropped the F bomb a few times in conversation. The kitchen staff looked disgusting and kept coming out of the kitchen to walk around and act like idiots. Will not be returning to this location. Save your money and go elsewhere.

We were in need of a quick bite, and we were thinking Coney, but Happy's Pizza Pub caught our eyes. We enjoyed the sports bar theme. The pizza and wings were yummy and the service was good. LOTS of TVs made it so we didn't miss one second of the Michigan game (eye roll... I'm a Spartan). So I'd surely put Happy's Pizza Pub on my list to watch a big game. Pleasantly surprised. We'll be back!

This is only getting 2 stars because I like the menu, food, and concept; the service is awful. The service at this location is absolutely awful, EVERY SINGLE TIME I GO HERE. I still come back because the concept and food are great. The place could do amazing if the management at this store were better. Drinks never seem to get refilled when glasses go empty. Orders are consistently messed up, the beer menu was out of date and the waitresses were not even given a sheet of paper to help them out (managers fault). They bring out appetizers after the main course, and when 2 pounds of rib tips were ordered, I received less than a pound including the box, as I weighed it when I got home. I bring these things up to the manager, but the most he's done is apologize and correct the issue if it's fixable, never anything above or beyond to make it up and the problems continue to persist every time I come back (almost once a week). The bar is often also usually understaffed at dinner time. By far the best employee is the tall blondish female bartender. Without her this place would be a sinking ship. She's waited on us when our waitress disappeared and it's noticeable every time she's working that she is the hardest worker in the front of the house and is by far the most efficient and appears to be the most experienced. The manager needs to take notes from her.

First ill say I was shocked to see this happys turned into a bar. At first I was excited! The menu had a wide variety of things and I couldn't wait to try some soup and salad. Then the service happened. There wasn't a hostest so we stood waiting for someone. Finally seated the waiter also bartender came to serve us. Our soup was luke warm. When I said something to the manager he just said oh no. And kept it moving. I asked that they reheat it and bring it back. The soup never came back. The waiter/bartender never brought the bread sticks my friend ordered. When she mentioned it he did give them to her for free. It took a very very long time to get our bill I was not pleased! I will not be going back to the happys pub unless it's just for drinks.

Easily 20 televisions, Great beer and good food. HORRIBLE service. Food took forever, as did refills. I could see our waitress giggling and chatting with other wait staff in doorway to kitchen area while 3 of our 4 drinks sat empty. Do yourself a favor and sit at the bar. It means getting your glass filled in 5 minutes instead of fifteen. Smoked wings were awesome, although one was practically jerky. will be back with LOW EXPECTATIONS.

Got carry out from here tonight and we had a groupon which was only for dine in but they allowed us to use it for carry out. The girl on the phone was great. She recommended a combo dinner that after the groupon was only $2.25! The combo was ribs, fries, wings, coleslaw, and garlic toast. All of the food was great. For $2.25 it fed a family of 5! Awesome food will definitely order from here again.
